At 15, Hannah Beckman has everything to be happy. , the grocer's daughter.

But here we are in 1942 and the Beckman family like many Jewish families is the target of the German occupation. As the roundups increase, Issac, her father, helped by a resistance fighter, manages to hide Hannah under a false identity...

When the war ended in 1945, Hannah learned  of the death of her parents and decided  to recover her inheritance by returning to her village.
